Natural Education Requires A Dose Of Flexibility – Being Parents

Natural education requires a dose of flexibility

When we think of natural education, different images come to mind such as cloth diapers, breastfeeding, and organic food.

However, it involves many more things. This type of education, also known as compassionate education, mindful education, and dedication education, focuses on responsiveness and awareness to meet the baby’s needs.

While it is true that many first-time parents set out to be 100% natural parents, unforeseen events will surely occur and alter their plans. It is important to know why a mother or father defines himself as a “natural parent” and  has learned to be flexible in the best interests of his child.

Natural education

In natural education, the most important thing is to be in constant growth and learning, to adapt to situations and to learn from other parents, so that these things are positive for oneself and for others, that it is considered to be “natural” education or not.

While this is a popular educational philosophy, it is also necessary to have a realistic point of view.

If you want to be a mother or father practicing natural education, then flexibility will be very important. There are a few things you will need to consider as well. Here are a few for you to include in your life from now on.

Every situation and every child will require different commitments

It’s easy to make rules and plans before you face the reality of a baby living, breathing, crying and pooping right in front of you. This baby is going to need you to help him feel safe and loved. And this, whatever your plans.

You might have been against your baby using a pacifier, but it doesn’t matter if you decide to give her one in situations where the little one can’t suck or to stop sucking their thumb.

It is better for your child to feel safe and secure than to meet your natural upbringing requirements at all costs. In the case of the pacifier, for example,  he will put it aside when he feels safe enough without it.

It’s also possible that you allow your children to spend more time in front of the television,  much more than you first thought.

You may start education with cloth diapers. However, when you have three children, you may like it less and you may prefer disposable diapers. Know that there is nothing wrong with this and that you don’t have to feel guilty about it.

Over time, you may become aware of the purchases you need to make to keep your children healthy. You may also continue to buy organic products.

The most important thing is that you do things for the sake of your children, not just your thoughts. If your children need medical care and medicine, it would be irresponsible to deny them because of ideology.

You can keep some things

Even though your natural education is more flexible, you can have your own non-negotiable thoughts. Thoughts you can hold on to. For example, you can choose not to let your baby cry so that he learns to sleep on his own. It’s a good thing  because your little one needs you; he needs your love and your warmth.

You can also oppose punitive discipline, and that’s fine; your children need to grow up with parents who understand and respect them more than anything. Likewise,  if you want to breastfeed your children for as long as you want, you can too. It doesn’t matter what one says about it.

If you cannot breastfeed and need to feed your baby or supplement breastfeeding with infant milk, this is also a good thing. You are doing what is best for your child.

Never shame your children, don’t despise them, don’t treat them badly. They don’t need that. In natural education, intuition is very important. In this case, these are non-negotiable things that your children need in order to be able to grow up in a good environment.

An environment full of love and tenderness, with parents who worry about them at all times. They need to feel safe in their families.

If you are doing the best you can with your children, then you need to know that you are doing the best thing. The best way to help a person is to be an example. Let your experience with certain styles of education speak for itself.
