How To Stimulate Baby’s Hearing? – Being Parents

Once he has associated the sound with the object shown to him, he will be able to identify the sound of the object. Later,  he will seek this object with his sight after hearing the sound, without needing to have it in front of him. The objective will have been reached and he will have identified it.

Talking to the baby, making faces and making relatively exaggerated gestures  helps him to connect the signifier with the signified more quickly. This increases if one makes changes in tone in the voice.
