The game mixes print and digital elements from the start, since the Salamanca Tourist Office offers you a leaflet with audiovisual content using a QR Code to discover the different clues in the city.
Superheroes, keys to finding the clues
Superheroes are among the characters in children’s literature and movies that children love the most. And, of course, these are the main characters of this game to discover Salamanca. The Patrulla Renacuaja , or Patrouille des têtards in French, will consist of four funny characters :
- Captain Galindo
- Supercelestine
- Doctor Churriguera
- Professor Nebrija
Without even realizing it, kids will learn about four key figures in Salamanca’s history before they even start their city tour. In addition to these funny characters, they will also have the chance to meet Honorato Farinato, a journalist and YouTuber from Salamanca who will help them in their research.
How to use the game of Patrulla Renacuaja ?
As we have already said, through a brochure and audiovisual content, children will discover clues using the characters, which are distributed by the most emblematic monuments of the city.
The plot of the game consists of a mysterious shadow hovering over the city of Salamanca. This, in addition, begins to steal things from different monuments like, for example, the name of the statue of Fray Luis de León, located in the facade of the University. This way the children will know the name of the statue, as well as small important facts about the University.
It is a very complete activity that even offers the possibility of two different routes, helping children to make decisions to follow the path they choose. One of the itineraries even includes a visit to several closed spaces. This allows the course to be carried out on rainy days. And, at the same time, protects from the extreme temperatures that can envelop the city.
As you can see, Salamanca City Hall has thought of everything. So young and old can really enjoy the city during their visit. In addition, the possibilities of the game do not end there. Children can even have fun and learn about the various means of transport in the city.
