Remedies For Skin Rash In Your Baby Due To Excess Heat – You Are Parents

Home remedies for excess heat in your baby

Usually rash is a rash characterized by  inflammation of the skin, redness and itching. While it’s not contagious or considered a serious illness, it tends to be unpleasant, especially for babies.

Skin rash that appears on the dermis from excess heat or humidity can occur as a result of wearing too much clothing or from tissue  that does not allow the skin to breathe properly. It is therefore recommended to control the materials with which we dress our babies.

As in the case of  remedies  for mosquito bites, they should not be applied to the skin of children  without first consulting a doctor. On the other hand, these drugs seek to relieve the discomfort but fail to eradicate it.

When in doubt, it is best to make an appointment with a pediatrician or dermatologist.

Home remedies to relieve skin rash

Cassava starch

Take a cassava and grate it until it is reduced to a powder. In a bowl with mineral water, add the cassava and stir. When the powder is diluted in water, filter the mixture. Discard the rest and place the liquid in the sun for several days in a clean container.

Once the water has evaporated, a whitish deposit remains in the bottom of the pot. It is the cassava starch that you can  apply to your baby’s skin as if it were talcum powder  where the erythema is.

Water with sodium bicarbonate

If you want to relieve the itching and prevent the baby from constantly scratching the area with the erythema, we recommend that you give him  a bath of cool water with sodium bicarbonate. This will help relieve the burn and prevent it from damaging the skin.

It should be emphasized that this remedy is much more effective if, after finishing the bath, we dry the skin  with a soft towel and without rubbing. In addition, we suggest that you dress your child in cotton clothes because this fabric allows the skin to breathe.

A cucumber puree

Take a fresh cucumber, cut it into slices (without removing the skin) and place them in the blender. Add a little water and mix until it is reduced to a puree.

Place it in the fridge for a few minutes but don’t wait until it gets too cold. Once it’s ready, you can apply it on the rash.

Cucumber is a  very fresh vegetable  that will relieve pain. Remember that once applied, you must let it act for a few minutes and then rinse it gently. Repeat the process as many times as needed.

Chamomile infusion

Chamomile is  a plant with many beneficial and harmless effects. Therefore, it can be used to reduce the erythema on the baby’s skin.

To combat the effects of excess  heat,  it is enough to prepare an infusion of chamomile. Either in sachet (found in supermarkets) or with the leaves of the plant (which can be found in a herbalist’s shop). Once the infusion is ready,  place it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Apply it with a cotton ball on the skin erythema, lightly touching, without pressing too much. It is not necessary to rinse afterwards.

Aloe Vera juice

Take a stalk of aloe vera and cut it into small pieces. Place them in a container with boiling water and  then put them in the fridge for two days,  then you can apply it with a little cotton.

Cornstarch

Cornstarch is another component capable of relieving skin rash due to excess heat. Just take some cornstarch and  carefully smear it on the affected skin.

Calendula infusion

Like chamomile,  calendula  has multiple benefits and is  a common ingredient in creams, lotions and ointments for skin irritation.

If you have calendula flowers and stems on hand, we suggest you prepare an infusion with it, let it cool, and apply it on the skin rash (like a poultice) several times a day.
