Treating Rashes In Babies – Parenthood
We all know babies’ skin is very soft but also very delicate. Their skin needs special care, especially when it comes to treating the inevitable rashes.
If you want to prevent unwanted rashes, it is important to remember that a baby’s skin requires special attention.
You should therefore pay attention to diapers, temperature changes, skin allergies, and the factors that cause eczema and irritation.
Rashes in babies: what are they and why do they appear?
Rashes are common in infants. It may be dermatitis or erythema.
If rashes are frequent, it is because, after childbirth, their skin has to adapt to the environment outside the uterus and to new foods.
In most cases, these skin problems show up until around the age of three. Before that, it’s common for an infant to have redness, rashes with or without pus, and itching.
The root causes of rashes are usually as follows:
- wearing certain clothes (synthetic fibers)
- contact with products containing chemical substances (creams, shampoos, etc.)
- contact with chlorine (contact with swimming pool water)
- rubbing disposable diapers
- excessive heat
- premature introduction of certain foods into the baby’s diet
- nutritional deficiencies
- poor absorption of nutrients
- irritation, anger, anxiety
Baby Rash Tips
The tips below will help you prevent your baby’s skin problems.
